For the first week of my fitness journey i was keeping it simple. I started off by drinking a whole water bottle before my workout out. Doing this keep you more hydrated throughout the whole process. I usually drink water as i'm completing my workout but i found out it is much better to drink the water before hand. I definitely noticed a difference in my "want" for water but i did drink more afterwords as well. I am keeping my workout pretty simple right now because i am focusing on my technique and trying to figure out my favorites and the order i want to do everything in. I am following a workout plan i received from my cheer coach over the summer to keep us in shape.
I cannot do all the parts of the workout right now because my hand is still broken and will be for a little bit longer but i am working on everything else to the best of my ability. I will be "working out" my hand if that makes sense, EX: using stress ball, lifting a very light weight for my wrist and using it for more daily activities. I have also noticed that having some earbuds in or music playing in the background keeps you focused on the workout and more determined to finish it ll the way through without giving up. More about my drinking more water idea has been going great. I have been choosing to drink water at most of my meals throughout the week. Substituting water for soda, sweet tea, apple juice and more sugary drinks like that has also quenched my thirst a lot more. Usually when i'm thirsty i go to a drink that seems good but i am always still thirsty even after drinking a whole glass. After drinking a bottle of water i am definitely good for a while. Drinking more water also helps flush out your system more and that is really good for your health. I hope that my progressive that will happen over the 12 weeks will get you motivated to start working out and drinking more water! :)
